Surgical fat removal from specific body areas to sculpt contours and remove deposits that do not respond to diet or exercise.
Liposuction is a surgical procedure that removes excess fat deposits from specific body areas using a thin tube (cannula) connected to a vacuum. Modern liposuction at Kaya uses tumescent technique — the targeted area is pre-infiltrated with a saline and anaesthetic solution that swells the fat, reduces bleeding, and allows precise extraction. The procedure sculpts specific contours rather than being a weight loss solution.
After tumescent infiltration, a small incision (3–5 mm) is made at a concealed location. The cannula is passed through the fat layer in a radial pattern, dislodging and aspirating fat cells. Skilled movement creates smooth, even removal without creating irregularities. The surrounding structures (blood vessels, nerves, connective tissue) are largely preserved by the tumescent fluid.
Compression garment worn for 4–6 weeks. Swelling, bruising, and tenderness for 2–3 weeks. Return to desk work at 7–10 days. Light exercise at 3 weeks, full activity at 6 weeks. Final result visible at 3–6 months as swelling resolves.
