Medical laser hair removal uses targeted light energy to heat and permanently damage hair follicles. At Kaya, we use Nd:YAG and Diode laser platforms — both proven safe and effective on all skin tones, including Fitzpatrick IV–VI types common across the GCC. The technology targets melanin in the hair shaft, not the surrounding skin, making it the safest option for darker complexions.
Laser energy is absorbed by melanin in the hair shaft and transmitted to the follicle as heat. Sufficient thermal energy causes irreversible follicular damage, preventing regrowth. Only follicles in the active growth phase (anagen) are destroyed per session — which is why 6–8 sessions are required to address all follicles across their growth cycles.
Mild redness and follicular swelling for 2–24 hours. Normal activity resumed immediately. Avoid sun exposure to treated areas for 2 weeks before and after each session.
