PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) hair restoration involves drawing a small blood sample, centrifuging it to concentrate platelets and growth factors, and injecting the resulting plasma into the scalp at the thinning areas. The treatment reactivates miniaturised follicles using nothing but your own biology — no synthetic drugs, no surgery.
Platelets contain growth factors (PDGF, VEGF, IGF-1) that stimulate vascularisation, cell proliferation, and follicular reactivation. Injected into the scalp, these factors increase blood supply to follicles, reverse miniaturisation associated with androgenetic alopecia, and extend the anagen (active growth) phase of the hair cycle.
Mild scalp tenderness and occasional pinpoint swelling at injection sites for 24 hours. Hair washing is usually permitted after 8 hours. No activity restrictions.
